I am a university professor with 15 years of teaching experience. Throughout this time I have taught numerous courses in classical mechanics, mechanics of materials, and aerodynamics.
In my classes, I always try to go beyond chalk and blackboard. I show students how much deeper the understanding of science can be if you use programming and modern modeling techniques. That's why, in my classes, I systematically use software such as Wolfram Mathematica and ANSYS.
It's not for me to say, but I have been told many times that my passionate and engaging teaching style inspires students to explore science even outside the classroom. The secret of my passion is simple: I teach things that I myself am interested in.
Please check my YouTube channel, where I publish my educational videos.
Up to now, most textbooks explain physics as if computers don't exist, and students solve problems with pen and paper, just as they did a hundred years ago. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but scientists and engineers work very differently now: they CODE! 💻
In this video, I present my BeamSolver module written in the Wolfram Language (Mathematica).
